2015-2016 Schedule Pick-Up
Fall 2015 Schedule Pick-Up:
Schedule Changes with Counselors:
*NOTE* Orientation is mandatory. Students who attend the orientation and turn in the required documents (two information cards and CAHSEE Parent Notification Letter) will receive their fall class schedule during the orientation. Freshmen who fail to attend the orientation and/or do not turn in the required documentation will not receive their schedules until the week of August 3rd.
I hope your summer has been enjoyable thus far. The Etiwanda High School staff is currently preparing for the 2015-2016 school year and changes are taking place. If you have recently driven by our campus, you may have noticed the progress that has been made on the new athletic complex. We anticipate that our students will be utilizing much of the new facility on the first day of school. This will include tennis courts, outdoor basketball courts, gymnasium seating, additional parking and grass surface areas. Additionally, new safety cameras and a public address system will have been completed by the first day of school.
The last week of July, students will begin to report for registration and schedule pick up. Please see the schedule on the website for exact times, dates, and locations.
Parents who have freshmen attending Etiwanda in the fall, we invite you to attend the Parent Information Forum on the designated days in the Multi-purpose room at 8:10 a.m. This presentation will cover the high school experience and preparation for college and career, which include UC A-G college requirements. In addition, our guidance team will share strategies to help your student be academically successful in high school. Members of our Link Crew and Student Achievement groups will be available to assist our freshman students during schedule pick-up. These students provide year-round guidance and mentorship which will be beneficial for all freshmen students.
Students, by now you should have received your summer mailer through the U.S. Postal Service. Please read all the documents enclosed, have your parents complete all the enclosed documents and be sure to return them on registration day. Parents, I ask that you consider joining Etiwanda’s E-High Community Connection. This parent organization supports all EHS stakeholders. The form and payment envelope are included in your summer packet. This may also be returned during registration. As a reminder, during registration days, students may purchase their PE clothes and ASB packages. Check the mailer for more information.
Our first day of school is Wednesday, August 5th. The school day will begin at 8:05 a.m. and end at 2:55 p.m. Class locator lists will be posted in the quad area and staff will be ready to help students with their schedule. I will be communicating with families via automated phone calls throughout the rest of the summer to keep you informed about important school events. You may also check our website or Twitter, @EtiwandaRed for more information.
Finally, I look forward to an exciting school year. We have talented teachers and staff who are here to educate, assist and provide a positive and safe environment for our students. As our vision states, “All students will graduate ready for college or career.” Thus, our goal is to provide a quality education for our students in a supportive and caring environment.
If you have any questions, please contact Etiwanda High School.
Thank you and Eagle Pride!
