Dear Etiwanda Parents and Students, 

We enter the final few weeks of the school year and what a wonderful year it has been! We just finished participating in the Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) series of assessments and I would like to thank our faithful Etiwanda staff and students for working so diligently in preparing and performing for success.  

I am also very excited for the class of 2012, as they embark toward their post high school endeavors. I am also looking forward to the year end culminating events for our Seniors, beginning with our commencement ceremony. Our Commencement ceremony will be Tuesday, May 22^ndat 6:00 p.m. at Los Osos High School’s Grizzly Stadium. Parents of 9th, 10th and 11th grade students are reminded that school will be on a minimum day schedule so that Faculty and Staff may attend and participate in the Commencement Ceremony. 

Some other Senior events to take note of are as follows:

Senior Breakfast held at Dave and Busters in Ontario on Wednesday, May 23^rd
Grad Nite, held on Thursday, May 24^that Six Flags Magic Mountain.           

WE want our students to finish the year on an academic high note! At Etiwanda High School, we care about the academic success of every student and as the school year will soon come to a close, it can be a reaffirmation of your son or daughter’s academic success. It can also be a time of great stress for those who may not have done as well academically as they had hoped. Rest assured, we want to be active partners in your child’s education and encourage you to contact us, so that we may continue to assist. Please also take note of the Final Exam Schedule as listed below: 

Seniors 

Seniors will take their finals for periods, 1, 3, 4 & 6 on the following days: 

Periods 4* and 1*– Tuesday and Wednesday, May 15^th and 16^th 

Periods 3* and 6*– Thursday and Friday, May 17t^h and 18^th   

^{*These exams are taken during regularly assigned class periods.}

I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to thank all of the various parents groups at Etiwanda High School. It would be hard for me to imagine, this school operating the way it does without your assistance. Your tremendous contributions have a deeply enriching effect on our students and staff.
